Bernardsville Movie Theater
The Bernardsville Movie Theater has been creating memories for residents for generations. The theater is over 100 years old and is still running strong to this day. The theater offers a cozy, nostalgic feel that makes for a nice break from all of the changes rapidly happening around us. The theater is open to host private events and parties.
Bernardsville Town Pool
The Bernardsville town pool is conveniently located in the heart of Bernardsville. This gorgeous setting boasts three pools, one pool meant for infants and toddlers, another pool meant for kids that only goes up to 3 feet deep, and the main pool that includes swimming lanes and 2 diving boards. Off to the side there is a snack bar and volley ball net that includes more than enough space for kids to run around. The pool also offer a competitive swim team and swim lessons.
New Jersey AUDUBON: Scherman hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary
The breathtaking New Jersey Audubon is located in our very own Bernardsville. The 125 acre landscape offers gorgeous views of the surrounding area. The sanctuary has multiple marked trails that range in length from .3 miles to 1.3 miles. The sanctuary is also a very common spot for bird watching, as over 200 different species of birds have been spotted in it’s boundaries, 60 of which currently reside within it. A multitude of other animals have also been spotted in the sanctuary.
Bernardsville public library
The Bernardsville Public library is an excellent place to not only advance your knowledge but to also take up a new hobby or activity. Inside you can find a multitude of books, magazines, DVD’s, and a children’s area. Events are also held throughout the year for those of all ages. Some events include a creative writing club and a movie night.
Bernardsville Polo Grounds
The Bernardsville Polo Grounds are located adjacent to the Middle School and Elementary School. The facility includes a turf football field and multiple playing fields. The Polo Grounds also contains 6 full size tennis courts as well as 2 full size basketball courts. And the newest addition to the complex in 2023 are pickleball courts. The recreation department will be organizing leagues for residents to play.
Events Hosted by “Downtown Bernardsville”
Downtown Bernardsville keeps the town thriving with many events to look forward to and bring the community together throughout the year. The organization has offered events for all ages including a Restaurant Week, a 5K race, Trunk or Treat, and a Holiday Cookie Crawl and Parade. Bernardsville Farmer’s Market
For over 25 years, the growing Bernardsville Farmer’s Market has been a great way to spend a Saturday morning. Located at the Bernardsville Train Station from mid-June to mid-November, the market has a variety of offerings from organic meats and eggs from PK’s Four Brothers Farm produced right in Bernardsville to all the pickle flavors you could imagine from Pickleicious, as well as several more great stands. Be sure to check their website for their special Peach Festival and Apple Festival, as you won’t want to miss the scrumptious treats offered.
Playgrounds
Bernardsville has three playgrounds: Kiwanins Park (which was recently renovated), Claremont playground, as well as the playground at Bedwell Elementary school.
the Cross Gardens estate
A spectacular garden and historic water-tower maintained by volunteers. A lovely place to walk-around or take photographs.
If you have a green-thumb, consider volunteering at the gardens each Wednesday from April to October. Parking and entry are free.
somerset Hills country club
Founded in 1899, this members-only golf club situated in Bernardsville consistently ranks as one of the top one-hundred golf courses in the country.
